Tiffany & Co. Launches the Most Expensive Piece of Jewelry in Its History
Tiffany & Co. has presented the most expensive jewelry in the company’s history. The piece was shown at the World Expo 2020 that took place in Dubai. This is a World’s Fair necklace that consists of 578 diamonds and weighs 180 carats. In addition, the item is adorned with a stone weighing 80 carats.
It is noted that the price for such an accessory is estimated from 20 to 30 million dollars. At the same time, representatives of the brand did not name the real price of the necklace. World’s Fair will be put up for sale, provided the purchaser permits to use it for the house’s exhibitions.
The jewelry house began creating the piece in January when it acquired the diamond from Botswana. In addition, the diamond can be removed from a necklace and installed in a ring. To do this you need to loosen the fasteners. The buyer of the necklace will receive lifelong service from the company: the in-house jeweler will always be in touch to set the diamond from the necklace to the ring and back.
This necklace is a reimagining of a piece pioneered by Tiffany & Co. for the World’s Fair in 1939. Then the central stone of the necklace was aquamarine weighing 200 carats, but today it is entirely made of diamonds. This necklace also features platinum.
