The Retailer From Munich, Mytheresa, Will Abandon Selling Animal Fur by 2022
Mytheresa has recently joined brands and retailers that had stopped selling natural fur. Such a decision Munich-based brand announced on Thursday, saying it will abandon all existing fur stocks by the spring 2022 season. The company’s updated policy concerns all animal fur products including those ones stored in the boutiques.
Back in the spring, the brand already stopped acquiring exotic skins. So, it was obvious that abandoning fur was the next move for Mytheresa. However, the company plans to exclude only those items which are made from animals raised exclusively for the use of their fur. Mytheresa will continue to sell leather and sheepskin products, as well as calf hair and synthetic fur products.
Continuing to improve and follow its animal welfare practices, the company strives to build an animal-friendly fashion future.
