The Pharmacy by Prada Mode and Damien Hirst Was Held in Moscow on December 3
The Pharmacy by Prada Mode and the artist Damien Hirst Held was held in Moscow on December 3 and 4. Earlier, the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 disease. It was the sixth brand’s installment that consisted of life-size artworks from the British art creator. It was first presented in the country by the fashion house back in 2018.
Special for this, a friend of Miuccia Prada was recruited to work on a new iteration of the project. Thus, Damien Hirst brought his own artistic view to Pharmacy that was first shown in 1992 in New York. Then the event was held at the Cohen Gallery.
The installation was last shown in 1998 in London’s Notting Hill. Special for the event, the luxury house provided the restaurant staff with uniforms. In addition, the installation was displayed at the Newport Street Gallery.
Hirst completed the four-story Levenson Mansion, located in Moscow, with floor-to-ceiling medicine cabinets. To re-create a pharmacy, the space was filled with furniture, models, boxes, paintings, and wallpapers decorated with catalogs of prescription medicines. The house also installed a bar and restaurant.
The installation is available to the public until December 11.
