The Gucci House Donated 200,000 Dollars to UNICEF To Fight Coronavirus
Gucci donated 200,000 dollars to UNICEF to fight against COVID-19. The funds will be used to procure and equitably distribute vaccines to the most vulnerable populations around the world.
The fashion house has partnered with UNICEF since 2005. By this day, thanks to donations collected around the world, the Italian brand has helped procure and ship nearly 600 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to 144 countries, over 609,000 PCR tests, and risk communication and public engagement activities in 88 states.
In December 2020, the house also donated 500,000 dollars to UNICEF and an additional 100,000 dollars raised as part of the 21-day Challenge for free coronavirus vaccinations.
Previously, the organization was supported by Valentino. The brand released a hoodie in black with an updated brand logo that says Vaccinated.
