The Designer Francesca Amfitheatrof Makes the Jewels That Are Worn by Hollywood Stars
Francesca Amfitheatrof’s latest collection honors Mr. Louis Vuitton. Bravery tells about his life and features a necklace made of sapphires and opals. The jewel, called La Star du Nord, depicts the night sky at the time of the designer’s birthday, exactly 200 years ago.
The necklace of 29 Colombian emeralds also has a hidden mechanism in white gold, that allows its owner to remove the centerpiece. As a result, a 10-carat diamond cut to the shape of a star can be reset in a ring.
Francesca Amfitheatrof, who was educated in a British boarding school, has Russian and Italian routes. She has bought her unique vision to Marni, Chanel, Fendi, and Tiffany & Co, where she worked on the Tiffany T collection.
And for LV Volt 2020 collection, she designed a knuckle ring that encases almost the whole of one finger, as well as her wedding bands and earrings.
Amfitheatrof designs museum-worthy pieces, available in one copy, and sells plastic bracelets via her own brand. You can find the pieces at Thief&Heist for 49 dollars.
