Robbers Took Out Jewelry From the Bvlgari Boutique Worth € 10 Million
Another major robbery took place in the capital of the fashion world. In Paris, armed robbers attacked a jewelry store Bvlgari, which is a part of the LVMH group. Place Vendôme, where the luxury boutique is located, is one of the most expensive shopping places in Europe. The square features the Ritz, Cartier, and Rolex jewelry stores, as well as the fashionable Chanel boutique. It was reported, the attackers stole jewelry which is worth a total of € 10 million.
Three armed men dressed in business suits stormed into a newly refurbished boutique in central Paris on Tuesday afternoon. After robbing a store, they left the crime scene in a gray BMW. Four of their accomplices escaped on scooters.
The police opened fire on drivers near the Les Halles shopping center, after which the attackers tried to jump out of the car and escape. Two of them were detained.
A policewoman at the scene told reporters that this is not the first time a jewelry boutique has been robbed in the French capital this year. However, unlike previous incidents, the robbers now had weapons.
In late July, two men robbed a Chaumet jewelry store near the Champs Elysees, from which they stole jewelry and precious stones worth between two and three million euros. The intruder was detained the next day along with an accomplice.
