Pantone Color Institute Experts Have Identified the Main Colors for the Coming Season
The Pantone Color Institute released their Spring 2022 Color Trends Report for New York Fashion Week. The report includes ten vibrant colors and five basic classic shades.
Experts note that the main factor that influenced this change in perception was the pandemic, lockdowns and mask mode. So, in the palette of trending colors, there are four shades of blue, each of which seems to hint at the protective masks.
The top ten shades of Pantone leaders included: pastel blue, powdery pink, bright crimson, dark blue, sunny yellow, the shade of ice-covered lake, the color of the sea wave, coffee, dahlia, and red.
The fashion industry responded instantly to changes in society. Health problems, lockdowns, canceled plans, broken hopes, the constant postponement of deadlines- all this led to trends in calm tones. But only half the time. On the other hand, the human tendency is to want to get out of captivity and become active again. Bright colors lift your spirits and allow you to refuse to become a child again, teach you to enjoy life, and give you pleasure.
Five classic shades include snow white, beige, basil, pale gray, and the color of poppy seeds.
And some celebrities have already worn colors from the spring/summer 2022 palette. During the 2021 Venice Film Festival, such stars as Zendaya and Kristen Stewart appeared on the red carpet demonstrating the latest color trends.
The world premiere of the film about Princess Diana, Spencer, caused a stir in Venice. The main role in it was played by 31-year-old Kristen Stewart, known for the series of films Twilight. Stewart, who is often called the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, appeared in blue silk pajamas with lace and black bow. And the 25-year-old actress Zendaya, star of the sci-fi drama Dune, chose a Balmain dress in nude leather with a wet effect.
