National Museum of Women in the Arts Will Praise Maria Grazia Chiuri at the Annual Gala
Maria Grazia Chiuri will be celebrated along with Judy Chicago and Mellody Hobson by the National Museum of Women in the Arts. This joyful news has been recently unveiled by Dior. The museum will hold its annual spring gala where the fashion brand’s first woman designer will be awarded a special price. The event is scheduled to arrive on April 8, 2022. In addition, the house will be a sponsor of the black-tie evening.
Chiuri is the first woman to serve as Creative Director of Dior, and in her collections, she talks a lot about the power of women, the importance of feminist views, and the struggle for equal rights. Sometimes the designer uses explicit tools, such as the We Should All Be Feminists lettering on T-shirts, as she did in her first collection.
Maria has always been a designer who works directly in the studio, working closely with the team. Arriving at Dior, Chiuri was quick to bring a dose of feminism to the brand’s collections. The designer offers a style in which carelessness is skillfully combined with daring elegance.
