The Unseen has finally launched its beauty brand presenting the first product. The eyeshadow created by an innovative material science company can look different depending on the realities.

Lauren Bowker’s main goal was to change the way the world uses color by producing ingenious objects. For example, earlier an environmentally friendly hair dye that can change from black to red colors depending on the temperature was presented. The company also launched a chameleon-like headpiece. The item was created in collaboration with Swarovski and neuroscientists, who made the gemstones react to temperature and the owner’s brain activity. The piece can display various emotions such as happiness or anger by changing the range of colors.

However, all these projects we talked about above have only been produced in small quantities and for a limited audience. Now, the Unseen finally wants to focus only on the consumer. And this week, the brand’s first product was revealed. Named Spectra, a reflective cream eye can transform depending on the situation. For instance, under a phone camera’s flash, it will look like a subtle grey, and in photographs, you will see a glittery black color.

Bowker’s team is trying to find cool interactive things and bring them to the lab. While the majority of beauty companies are working with the same ingredients, Bowker offers their own newness in beauty and cosmetics.

The next step will be the hair dye which can change color. The item will be available for purchase in 2022 along with other innovations.
