Levi’s Revealed a New Collection of a Denim Top, Shorts, and Kimono Featuring Naomi Osaka
Levi’s continues to develop its upcycling direction, and this time releases a joint capsule collection with Naomi Osaka. They tried to combine sporty style, feminine details, and the Japanese cultural heritage that is native to the tennis player. The collaboration includes a top, shorts, and a short kimono with a belt. All items are made from vintage and recycled denim.
To create a unique collection of upcycling products, Levi’s has brought in tennis superstar Naomi Osaka. This is not the first collaboration of the athlete with the brand. Previously, she participated in Levi’s 501-day campaign together with Jaden Smith, Haley Bieber, and others. And now she joined the label for the release of the first full capsule.
The range includes only four products and they are all made from recycled denim and incorporate elements from Levi’s existing apparel to reduce their environmental impact. The capsule will be available from August 24th exclusively on Levi’s application.
Our absolute favorite is a denim kimono inspired by Naomi’s Japanese roots (her mom is Japanese and her dad is from Haiti). Another item is long shorts which are made from a pair of Levi’s men’s jeans. The collection reflects Naomi’s personal style.
