LACMA Art+Film Gala Which Will Take Place on November 6 Has Announced the Performer
LACMA Art+Film Gala, sponsored by Gucci, has announced the performer. And Celeste Epiphany Waite became the chosen one who will stage at the annual event. The show will take place on November 6.
Celeste was born in America but grew up in the U.K. The singer has a mixed family: her father is from Jamaica and her mother is British-born. The songwriter has gained worldwide recognition and attention since the release of her first album. Titled Not Your Muse, it debuted at number one on the U.K. Albums Chart.
Back in 2020, the 27-year-old woman won Brit Awards for several nominations, namely for the Album of the Year, Best Female Solo Artist, and Best New Artist. And this year, her soundtrack for Netflix’s The Trial of the Chicago 7 was nominated for an Academy Award. And this is not surprising for the woman with a truly gorgeous voice who sings deeply moving songs.
According to the gala’s co-chairs among who is Leonardo DiCaprio, the singer’s performance will be one of the highlights of the event which has been held for 10th years. The contest praises various artists and filmmakers, raising funds for the museum’s initiatives, exhibitions, and programming.
Among this year’s guests will be the filmmaker Steven Spielberg. Unfortunately, last year the event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. But back in 2019, the gala managed to raise more than 4.6 million dollars. Gucci, who has recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, is once again a sponsor. And for the third year, Audi will be a supporting sponsor.
