Italian Post Unveils Gucci 100th Anniversary Stamp With a Recognizable Floral Pattern
The Italian Post together with the Ministry of Economic Development of the country has issued a stamp dedicated to the centenary of Gucci. It features the iconic floral design of the fashion house, designed in 1966 by the artist Vittorio Accornero de Testa. Throughout all these years, it was reproduced on various products and accessories along with the logo of the company.
The collectors are offered a special philatelic folder which costs 18 euros. In addition to the stamp itself, the launch includes a postcard, an envelope, and an appeal signed by Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele and CEO Marco Bizzarri. In the note, it is written how the company has switched to carbon-neutral operations and changed the entire supply chain.
The Gucci stamp dedicated to the brand’s 100th anniversary will have a circulation of 300,000 copies. The value is 1.10 euros for each piece.
