Imagine If Clothes Could Speak | Thanks to the PANGAIA Brand It Became a Reality

Eco-friendly brand PANGAIA has signed an agreement with US developer EON to cooperate in order to create digital passports for all of its products. This, in turn, will inspire customers to make responsible choices. Digital passports, based on a QR code and kept in the cloud in real-time, will translate the unique history of each item and will offer consumers access to product-level exposure reports in a more interactive way.

The digital passports, which are printed directly on the PANGAIA care labels, when scanned from the phone, will allow the customer to discover such information as to where the item was manufactured, about production and distribution facilities, as well as how to wash, handle, repair or even destroy it.

PANGAIA has almost completed life cycle estimates for 80% of its products by 2022. The information about the origin of each item, care needs, and even end-of-life advice for a product will encourage current and future buyers to extend the life of their products and keep them in good condition as long as possible.

PANGAIA will feature digital passports in its forthcoming T-shirt collection, called Horizon, which will be available for purchase starting from Thursday 13 May 2021. Throughout 2021, PANGAIA will be phasing in digital passports for new and existing product categories, with extra lines added every two months.
