Gucci Raises Prices After a Pandemic
Some models of clothing have become more expensive by 5-9%
Analytical company Jefferies reports that the Italian brand Gucci last month raised prices for models of bags Dionysus and Zumi in its stores in Italy, Britain, and China.
These models now cost $2290 and $2980 respectively – their prices have raised by 5-9%. According to Jefferies, in this way the brand fights the economic consequences of the pandemic and cushions the consequences of lost profits. Taking measures will help to reduce the gap between the cost of products in Europe and China – an important market where bags originally cost more expensive. Gucci has not yet made official comments on price increases.
Analysts also specify that Gucci is not the only brand that has raised prices, and bags are the category of fashion products that have increased in price most noticeably.
