Edward Enninful and Anna Wintour Welcome Francesca Ragazzi in Condé Nast
After several senior editors, parted this year, Condé Nast decided to bet on a new generation. That’s why Italian Condé Nast offered a new position of Vogue’s head of editorial content to Francesca Ragazzi.
A former fashion market director started her career in Paris as an intern for Italian Vogue magazine. After, she worked for Vogue US as a European fashion associate. Then in 2014, she moved to New York where she started to work for the Italian and French markets. In 2018, she relocated to Italy, working as a fashion market director under former editor-in-chief Emanuele Farneti, who retired in July.
Anna Wintour, who is Vogue’s global editorial director and Condé Nast chief content officer, said that Francesca has a wealth of knowledge of Italian as well as global fashion worlds working in Milan, Paris, and New York with various talented editors. That’s why she fits for this new role so perfectly. In her new position, Ragazzi will work not only with Wintour but also with Edward Enninful. Vogue European editorial director, in turn, said that Francesca’s selection is a new chapter for Vogue Italia.
Ragazzi’s goal is to expand the range of Vogue Italia readers, especially younger generations. It is expected that Condé Nast will make similar appointments at the other editions of Vogue in Europe.
