Five Collaborations from Milan Fashion Week

Italy-based brands are continuing to prove that they are still in trend. Discover five hot collaborations to watch during the Milan Fashion Week 2021.

Inspired by the Japanese capital, Tokyo, Plan C decided to collaborate with Perimetro which is dedicated to the work of global photographers documenting the urban landscape. The Italian luxury brand and the magazine’s joint exhibition will be held starting from 24 to 26 September.

Tokyo and Its Contemporary Storytellers will include images shot by photographers from Tokyo, selected by the curator Naoko Otha. Plan C’s creative director took inspiration from the way Japanese people dress, combining various colors and fabrics. Carolina Castiglioni also likes the contrast of modern architecture with traditional houses. And this was the main idea- to tell the story of the city through contemporary photography. The images presented in the exhibition have also been gathered in a special issue and have been printed on T-shirts available in limited edition. The capsule can also be purchased at the Plan C online store, as well as at special stores.

Margherita Maccapani Missoni and Max & Co capsule collection

Margherita Maccapani Missoni and Max & Co capsule collection is a part of Max Mara’s spring 2022 collection. The line, named Shall We?, consists of 35 pieces and reflects the designer’s knowledge and passion for fashion. Missoni’s sense of style in combination with Max & Co gives us a joyful aesthetic. The range includes a trenchcoat that can be worn as a dress, a shirt dress with buttons, a long skirt, scarf tops, and blazers. The colorful products were designed from the brand’s archives and customized in the designer’s personal way. The collection of practical clothes for women will arrive in stores and the brand’s website in February next year.

The footwear label Maria Luca Viky Rader capsule collection

The footwear label Maria Luca, launched in 2011, collaborated with Munich-based Viky Rader to create a capsule collection. The Made In Italy line consists of two drops, combining Viky’s aesthetic with Luca’s nostalgic and minimal vibe. The first drop with geometric-shaped shoes designed will appear both in physical and online stores in December. While the second including a completely new style of heels in zebra, orange, and black colors will be available from mid-February.

Amotea, founded in 2019, collaborates with Evangelie Smyrniotaki

To increase the audience and boost the brand’s visibility, Amotea, founded in 2019, collaborates with Evangelie Smyrniotaki. The women’s contemporary label with its attention to details, volumes, and shapes, launches a capsule collection with Smyrniotaki, and their aesthetics are perfectly combined. The joint collection is designed in black and white colors and was produced from sustainable materials. Among the pieces is a jumpsuit, dress, and bodysuit made of recycled viscose.

Borsalino and Àcheval's singular and stylish partnership

Borsalino and Àcheval’s singular and stylish partnership presents a series of hats inspired by the brands’ South American roots. The collaboration is scheduled for spring 2022 and will consist of three pieces of hats made of raffia in equestrian thematic. The collection represents the same values the designers work for with the Italian spirit.
