Dior Clothes, Shoes, and Accessories by Galliano Will Arrive at the Auction in Paris

Dior designs from the Galliano period will be presented during the auction in Paris. The Cornette de Saint Cyr will provide 500 pieces for sale which were created between 1996 and 2001 when John Galliano worked for a French fashion house.

Among them, there are about 300 items of clothing and accessories from the wardrobe of a Russian woman, purchased in 1997. When she was 25 years old, Galliano joined Dior, and she bought the most fashionable pieces. Then about 50 items, created by another client, include tailored jackets. In addition, it includes a black evening dress from the first collection, which will cost between 600 and 1000 euros, along with a red coat with a belt made of python skin, which price is estimated from 5000 to 6000 euros. Its original price was 35,000 euros. Prices for shoes and jewelry will start from 100 euros.

Galliano was suddenly fired from Dior after his racist offenses during an argument in a Parisian café. His signature designs are Saddle bags which weren’t popular until 2015. But later in 2018, Dior relaunched the line of the bags, and they gained popularity.

The upcoming auction, which will take place in Paris on June 7 at 14:00, will feature around 100 bags and four Saddle bags.
