Burberry Created a Mirror Palace in Korea To Reflect the Brand’s Latest Collections
In order to bring the brand’s first experience to Jeju Island which is located in South Korea, Burberry has created a reflective sculpture. The installation resembles a huge palace that is made of mirrors and reinterprets the surrounding landscape. The Imagined Landscape Experience, it is inspired by geographical maps. Overlooking the mountains, a viewing terrace allows the visitors to enjoy beautiful views. Nature as a separative element together with the surfaces of the exterior mark the connection between humans and our planet. And namely, this is celebrated by the house outwear items.
Inside the sculpture, the environment changes, turning into a futuristic space that combines the digital and physical worlds. Maotik, Cao Yuxi, and Lia Jiayu worked on the films that are presented on interactive screens. This innovation created by three artists is aimed to reflect the brand’s latest collections that consist of iconic fabric and other modular elements.
The virtual experience also expands to the digital world, where the TikTok users are able to scan a QR Code. Another brand’s dedication to sustainability will be the protection of Jeju Island for a period of five years. The partnership with Organization Jeju Olle Foundation will include maintaining the island’s picturesque trails to support environmentally harmful programs.
