Auction House Sotheby’s Will Put Up for Auction More Than 1000 Karl Lagerfeld’s Items
The auction house Sotheby’s will put up for auction personal belongings of the late designer Karl Lagerfeld. In total, eight auctions will be held within six months, during which more than 1000 items will be sold, including furniture, art collection, interior items, and more.
Among what will go under the hammer are three Rolls-Royce cars, approximately 200 pairs of mitten gloves that the designer loved to wear, as well as clothes from Dior, Maison Margiela, Saint Laurent, Comme des Garçons, and, of course, Chanel from his wardrobe.
Furniture from the Lagerfeld collection is estimated between 20,000 and 60,000 euros. These are pieces by iconic designers such as Martin Sekeli and Marc Newson. The expected cost of other items has not yet been reported.
Karl Lagerfeld’s Estate will begin in December. You can learn more on Sotheby’s website.
